My passion for Acupuncture and Herbology began in 2010 when I injured my hip from a dirt bike accident in Bend Oregon. For a year I suffered from numbness and pain down my left leg. My “last resort” was acupuncture and three visits later… complete relief.
In 2011, I developed an acupuncture program into the counseling center that I worked for. Chinese medicine helped blend the healing of the mind, body, and spirit to the individual and group counseling sessions I guided such as; womens PTSD group, mindful meditation, drug-free chronic pain management, drug and alcohol free classes, and motivational interviewing to achieve change.
I received my massage license from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego California in 2012. The years I spent as a licensed massage therapist gave me wonderful experience working with athletes in training and recovering, as well as every other body type. The technique I used was a combination of Tui Na, Swedish , deep tissue, lymphatic work and abdominal massage.
Preforming acupuncture during my clinical internship with South Baylo University developed a passion for fertility and delivery. Helping families grow is one of the most powerful moments to experience and share in life. Acupuncture and herbs provide support and relief with many expressions of pregnancy, difficulties in conceiving and inducing birth in a non-aggressive and natural way.
As a competitive athlete and as I age, my appreciation to stay in the game intensifies. Acupuncture, herbs, body work, and nutrition is a an amazing supplement for athletes to mentally and physical reach top performance. I love helping people get back in the game of life. Whether you are a professional athlete or a casual game player acupuncture can help you do what you need to do.
The possibilities of health care with Acupuncture and Herbology can be endless as each issue is different as well as each individual. Additionally I use essential oils with acupuncture to enhance healing adding more options and hope for a better way of life is possible regardless if for infertility, a physical injury, chronic headaches, stress, PTSD, pain, digestion issues, and so many more ailments.
My Husband and I moved to Bend Oregon in 2005. Six years later I was introduced to the power of acupuncture and shortly there after we restructured our lives so that I could receive my Masters of Science in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine in Southern California. We quickly learned that Bend Oregon has our hearts due to the wonderful friendships and the endless backyard of outdoor activities. We are now here to stay. When I am not working you can find me paddle boarding, hiking, mountain bike riding, dirt bike riding, working out, playing with our dog, and enjoying this wonderful Central Oregon lifestyle.
